Barbara Badetti Palumbo is a portrait photographer living and raising her family on Long Island. Her passion for photography started in her early teens when she became fascinated by the work of the photographers of National Geographic.

"This interest and fascination led to my first job as an apprentice in a photography studio in Genoa, Italy. While working on nature and portrait photography, I spent countless hours in the darkroom learning the basics - black & white processing and printing, Cibachrome printing, and E-6 processing. I'm currently shooting digital with Nikon equipment."

"My love for travel and photography led me to my next job as a cruise photographer, enabling me to visit and photograph most of the beautiful Caribbean Islands and Bermuda. Capturing the joy that families experience together on their holiday was a passion of mine. Following these travels, I moved to New York, where I worked an Art Director for the largest italian Advertising Agency in Manhattan."
